The MFA Program and Writing At Queens are co-sponsoring a reading by novelist Maud Casey, whose newest novel (The Man Who Walked Away) is set in nineteenth-century rural France and is a fictional retelling of the life of Albert Dadas, a historical figure who wandered vast landscapes in fugue states and was much studied by psychologists.
WAQ’s own Jason Tougaw will be introducing Casey, which is fitting because he has an incredible interview with her on his own blog, Californica:

Casey is, by all accounts, a very charismatic reader, so this a reading you should be going to. Head to the reading’s Facebook invitation and let us know you’re coming.
