Advisement

A detailed English Department Handbook with major requirements can be obtained in the department office or by clicking here. Additional guidance in choosing courses within the major and supplementing the major can be provided by faculty advisors. Students interested in attending graduate school for an MA, MFA, or PhD should consult a departmental advisor early in their careers as majors.

Which advisor should I contact for which inquiry?

Please email only one advisor with your question to avoid duplication of efforts or confusion. If you’re unsure about which advisor to contact, please consult our FAQ page, or email english@qc.cuny.edu and someone will direct you to the appropriate advisor.
