Classes
I teach courses on academic writing, creative writing, and the teaching of writing. My central goal in every writing class is the same: to challenge students to practice – or teach – writing as a process that requires close reading, careful research, critical reflection and continual revision. In a typical lesson, students can expect to engage in whole-class discussions, small-group work, and individual reading and writing activities, which provide multiple opportunities to deepen understanding through practice.
