Research Interests

Informed by my work in writing centers, my research explores writing tutor labor and staff education, as well as best practices for supporting undergraduate research. My current research projects include a collaboratively edited collection on interfaith dialogue in writing centers and a study of the rhetoric of adoption.

Teaching Interests

I teach advanced writing courses that support students as writers in academic and professional contexts. My course on collaborative writing practices introduces students to co-authorship and collaborative research methods in writing studies. My course on writing for advocacy supports students as they rhetorically analyze the work of advocacy organizations within their communities to refine their own skills as civic writers.
