QC MFA student Eric Becker has been awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to translate Brazilian literature in 2016!

He’ll be working closely with writers Edival Lourenco, Eric Nepomuceno (who is also the translator of Gabriel García Márquez into Portuguese) and others, and performing research in the state of Goiás and the city of Rio de Janeiro for Lourenço’s historical novel about the rise and fall of Brazilian adventurer Anhanguera.

Eric’s the second MFA student to receive a Fulbright, and we’re just as proud the second time around!
