The recent outbreak of COVID-19 is a concern to us all.  In order to deal with this crisis, we here at QC are transitioning all courses online, effective March 19th.  For more information on CUNY’s official plan on dealing with the novel coronavirus, please see the CUNY website:

Although we know this will not be an easy transition, the safety of our students, faculty, and the borough of Queens comes first.

Regrettably, we must also follow WHO’s recommendation for social distancing, and cancel the MA Conference, Honors Program Conference, our Writing Prizes Ceremony, and all of our public readings scheduled for the Spring 2020 semester.  We will still be awarding writing prizes, because our students deserve recognition for their excellent work no matter what, and although we are in talks about digitalizing some part of the aforementioned conferences, however we cannot be certain that is a possibility at this time.
