The Department of Africana Studies at Stony Brook University will be holding a symposium honoring the legacy of Amiri Baraka, world-renowned dramatist, poet, and esteemed faculty member from 1979 to 1999. An Urgent Voice for Liberation in Times of Trouble: Celebrating the Legacy of Amiri Baraka will be held at Stony Brook University from Wednesday, November 14th to Friday, November 16th, 2018.  All events are open to the public. Please join us as we reflect on the life and legacy of this unparalleled artist.
